Dean Buchanan, founder of DRB Entertainment, has over three decades of experience developing world-class media brands, creative businesses, and talent across Australia, New Zealand, and internationally.
Dean's career spans high-level roles in media, with extensive experience in radio, television, publishing, and live events, making him a trusted entertainment manager in Australia and beyond.
In 2018, Dean was named one of the top 5 Australian radio programmers of all time and he was recognised with the “Outstanding Contribution to Radio” Award by the New Zealand industry in 2020, reflecting a career of innovation and leadership in the media industry.

Dean was the founding Group Content Director at dmg Radio Australia, where he led the design and launch of the highly successful Nova network. He oversaw the strategy, talent acquisition, brand development and execution, building a national radio network that remains one of Australia’s most successful to this day. At NZME, he lead both the national radio division and entertainment products for the New Zealand Herald, including newspaper inserted magazines and digital. Dean redesigned the strategy, content and talent propositions that lead to increased ratings and increased readership results.
